My 64th Show
Another great show. Again, Brent & Phil are really great, and Hornsby sits in for a bunch of songs. This recording spotlights Bobby’s guitar playing

excellently, too. Show starts like many, high energy but a little rough around the edges. There’s a pause between Bucket and Sugaree so Bruce can strap on the accordion, fun rendition. Things start really clicking on Masterpiece, and then a fantastic Loser. I really like this version of Victim - chugging, menacing, and very spacey. Then we get Spencer Davis doing CC Rider. But it’s his leading the band through I’m A Man that’s the highlight of the show. Phil starts the song like he was channeling “Duck” Dunn and sets the tone for a fiery rendition. Like the other reviewer, I can’t believe they didn’t add this to their repertoire. Hornsby is back on accordion for Jack Straw, China> Rider, and is really figuring out where it all fits in. He’s particularly good on Rider, adding his particular style to the mix. Jerry has a nice solo after Bruce, with Brent answering beautifully. Bruce switches over to piano for Woman, and has a nice go at that, with Brent on B3 - shades of things to come? Post drums is solid, though something weird is going on with Jerry’s guitar at the beginning of Stella Blue which throws him off a bit. Bruce comes back on piano for Good Lovin’ & even sings a verse. What a show. So much fun. We were so lucky.

I'm a Man ROCKS!!!!!
Are you kidding me? They should have added "I'm A Man" to their sets more often after this. It was obvious Phil and Brent were really into this. Damn,
